This is a fantastic list. However, I am a greenhorn and have no clue where to start for my problem. Any help at all is sincerely appreciated. I have no idea where to find help making this circuit for my home project. I'll be shining the IR beam (ref below) through a transparent 2" pipe while transferring clear water from a pond. This circuid will stop the pump from running if it accidentally sends sediment through the pipe while unattended. This is the reason for the need of a sensitivity adjustment (also referenced below). Sometimes the pump will just suck up a little sediment and I dont think it would fully break the beam. Anyone know where I can find help modifying the below circuit/kit to fit the above custom project?https://www.electronickits.com/door-minder-infrared-beam-sensor-kit/ I am sure this will require further discussion, but here is what I need modified:Entire circuit on one board 115v as power source (terminal block and transformer would be fine) Note: the onboard relay would be switching same powersource downstream from board. Ability to adjust sensitivity (maybe a potentiometer, I am unsure if this would make sense with this circuit since I don't understand how the IR is generated or received.) The relay should be normally closed when power is off to circuit board and the relay should latch/remain open when the beam is broken until the board is power cycled. I think that is it.
